Scott Misener (3)



Who am I?

Thanks to The Rock for identifying the ship as the Scott Misener (3). The ship was built for Colonial Steamships, Ltd. and launched in 1954. She was scrapped in 1990. If you would like to see a additional photos and information about the Scott Misener (3), please click here.

Nice photo, Jeff!!
Taken in the Welland Canal?
I remember when all the Meisner boats had a black hull rather than the blue hull which became so popular in their later years.
Seems to me that when the Ralph Meisner came out with that monstrous self-unloading device on its deck, they had the hull painted blue and that may have "started it".
Mr. Meisner spoke at one of our Marine Historical dinners and told about the history of his steamship line and , sadly, of it's demise, too.
